Staycay: Champion Hotel

 السلام عليكم

It was the month of Syawal when we decided to staycay. Just so happens that particular day was pack with events. My company’s Family day at Sentosa Universal Studio in the day and My dad’s Kecoh-Kecoh Raya performance at Tanjong Katong Complex in the evening. I actually wouldn’t mind missing my dad’s performance coz I’ve already went for the one before Ramadhan. Pasal my In-Laws nak support besan punye pasal… tak baik plak kan kalau my in-laws pergi and menantu nye tak pergi kan. Stressing the whole week how to accommodate both events then hubs brought up the idea to staycay somewhere in the middle. I have a whoooole list of staycay destinations but I didn’t wanna do much traveling after screaming my heads off at USS. Then, stumbled across Champion Hotel in my handy dandy Booking.com. The hotel is really CLEAN and near to 24hour coffee shop. Toilet is small though but it’s manageable. Lighting abit off coz they’re just not at the right places eg. no lights at the long mirror but there’s light at the study table which we hardly use. Because it was last minute, we ended up having single beds… SO… that was our first time as MR and MRS sleeping in a separate bed… hahaha!! Nice, cosy and near to coffeeshops and malls.

Where to next? Any suggestions?

Weekend Staycay at Nagoya – Batam

السلام عليكم

It was our second time there and we stayed in a different boutique hotel slightly further from Nagoya Plaza Mall. Our first stay there, we stayed in this very comfy hotel, Nagoya Plaza Hotel which is extremely near to the mall. There’s nothing to brag about how good the hotel is. It’s an okay hotel. We just like the fact that the hotel is extremely near to the mall so we don’t really have to worry about food… Haha!! Yes. Me and Food… haha!! On our second stay, we decided to try out a new hotel and I stumbled across this boutique hotel, Da Vienna Boutique Hotel. The room we got was HUUUGE!! But it was really dim which we H.A.T.E.D. Other than that, the facilities was okay. It is about 5min walk to the mall which was okay in the day but TERRIFYING in the night (adventurous lah konon Nye.. haha!!) with all the cab drivers taunting me n hubs. I was more scared that hubs looses his cool cause they were THAT mean. I was about to loose my cool but I kept repeating “Just keep walking. Just keep walking” the way Dory from ‘Finding Nemo’ says it.  It was a nice weekend getaway for both visits to Batam but not too sure if I’d wanna go back again. Both times I was there, I fell very ill (fever with flu and cough) and spent most of our days in bed. And those days we were out shopping, I just had to peel myself off the bed cause I felt bad for the hubs. Maybe other parts of Batam…. maybe only
